Château Soutard,
an 18th century guesthouse

In the shadow of the Saint-Emilion clock tower, Chateau Soutard is located on a unique limestone plateau where all the grands crus of Saint-Emilion reveal themselves.

After the renovation of the two wings devoted to the vat rooms, cellars and a beautiful tasting room, Chateau Soutard unveiled the chateau’s new reception areas in September 2015. This superb 18th century Carthusian monastery has 3 bedrooms and is surrounded by magnificent gardens. The building has a superb view of the vineyard and gardens.

With the renovations completion, a page has been turned in its history. Chateau Soutard has become a charming guesthouse in the heart of the Saint-Emilion vineyard.

The living room and dining room at Chateau Soutard are also available, along with a dedicated seminar space which can welcome up to 47 people.

Wine lovers will also have the opportunity to visit Chateau Soutard’s cellars.

Renovation projects are gradually bringing back the original Soutard spirit, restoring the splendor of bygone days to this magnificent estate. Nothing has been done at random, everyone who has been involved in the renovation of the charterhouse was focused on respecting the property. All of the chosen upholsteries are recreations of 18th century designs. The furniture and paintings are from this period, purchased in public sales.

A few hundred metres from the city of Saint-Emilion, Chateau Soutard and Chateau Larmande, the Grand Faurie la Rose mansion watches over a renowned vineyard. In this recently renovated traditional country residence, refinement and simplicity are side by side.

Comfort is the order of the day in the Grand Faurie La Rose mansion.  All rooms have internet access and TV. The private garden is equipped with sun loungers and a table in the shade.  There you can relax and admire the vines, unless you get carried away by the temptation of a barbecue or a game of boules.
